BLTC is proud to be one of the first Clubs in Kent to be awarded Tennis Clubmark status. The LTA awards this kitemark to Clubs that meet or exceed national guidelines in 4 key areas
In brief these areas are:
- Club Action Planning – BLTC has developed an action plan that has been endorsed by the management committee that keeps our development goals in focus. A business plan will be designed in early 2009
- Tennis Programmes – BLTC has a comprehensive year round tennis programme. offering players from age 2 upwards coaching, social, and competitive play
- Policies and Procedures – BLTC has stated policies and procedures in the areas of child protection, equality and diversity and health and safety.
- Club Management – BLTC is managed and promoted in line with good practice.
A significant amount of work has gone into our accreditation process, and this work continues everyday. Maintaining our Clubmark status is key to our club’s ongoing success and future development.
It falls to every member to make their contribution by ensuring BLTC is a safe environment in which children, young people and those who may be vulnerable, can enjoy their tennis.
Our Child Protection Officers are
